Childhaven

Childhaven is a 53,700 square foot, four-story early childhood educational facility that serves children facing special circumstances, providing 24-hour crisis nursery and guardian education and support spaces. The facility with administrative offices and underground parking was constructed under the design-build concept which proved very beneficial to the owner by delivering a complex, mixed occupancy structure under a tight schedule. Server space constraints due to height limits provided a challenge to the mechanical design/installers. Special consideration was given to sound control producing a quiet building both internally and, due to code restrictions, externally.
