Bush School
- Seattle, WA
- Service client since 2005
The Bush School is a 94,620 square foot private K-12 educational facility. The school prides itself on its mission of encouraging students to find passion for “learning, accomplishment, and contribution to their communities”, which shows through the programs and extensive educational opportunities they offer their students. In 2005, PSF was selected for the project team on a design-assist basis with mechanical engineering services provided from Stantec. The project included the addition of new “lower school” classrooms and administrative areas serving kindergarten through 5th grade students, as well as gymnasium, outdoor playground, and parking areas.
PSF’s detailing and MEP team members worked directly with the project engineer to rework the initial mechanical design to fit within structural changes without compromising the engineering intent, design budget, or project schedule. Mechanical cooling was provided for critical areas and the overall design was created to be environmentally sensitive.
