The Emergent BioSolutions project is a 32,352 square foot laboratory and office space tenant improvement. The work was completed over multiple small projects and is an early example of the expertise in critical environments that PSF Mechanical has honed. Using air-to-air heat exchangers and heat reclaim, PSF lowered the operating cost and increased the energy efficiency of this building. We also addressed the floor-to-floor height constraints using creative solutions to provide a functional and visually-appealing result.

Due to space constraints, the rooftop units were placed on an intermediate level roof with exposed ductwork extending up the side of the building. The rooftop units and aluminum insulation classing were custom color-matched to blend with the building façade, become an aesthetically pleasing element of the project.
