University of Washington Husky Stadium
- Seattle, WA
- LEED Certified
- Service client since 2011
Originally built in 1920, this 72,500 seat Seattle icon underwent some major changes with great efforts made during these alterations to maintain the character that endears the Husky Stadium to its patrons. The project included a 29,942 square foot sports medicine clinic, a 70,000 square foot football operations facility, six additional spectator elevators, recruiting lounge, weight room, concourses, entry lobby, commissary, coaches’ offices, locker rooms, and a team store and offices. Construction included the removal of the existing bleachers to make room for a more spacious seating area closer to the field, the addition of understated, premium seats and luxury boxes, and the excavation of the playing field to four feet below the current field location to ensure that fans have an unobscured view of games.
PSF Mechanical was incredibly excited to be part of the renovation team and worked closely with the client, general contractors, and other subcontractors to make sure that the building process went as smooth as possible. Specific care was taken with fabrication and delivery schedules to make sure that no time was lost, as well as to allow for easier installation and coordination with other deliveries.
